Blessed Are the Believers: John 20:25-29

25 The other disciples therefore said unto him [the apostle Thomas], We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 ¶ And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.   (KJV John 20:25-29)

Celebrating Christ this Christmas

You may also enjoy viewing this Christmas devotional, featuring Pres. Thomas S. Monson, Pres. Henry B. Eyring and Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this hour-long video, which originally aired Sunday, 6 December 2009, they share their feelings for Christ and their hope for this Christmas season.

This video also features the musical talent of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, singing such favorites as "O Holy Night" and "For Unto Us a Child is Born", from Handel's Messiah.

Celebrating Christ this Christmas

"Seeking to Know God, Our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ" by Elder Robert D. Hales

The light of belief is within you, waiting to be awakened and intensified by the Spirit of God.

I read this address this morning and felt God's Spirit so strongly! I love what he has to say about coming to know God and building a strong, personal relationship with Him and His Son. Quite appropriate, I felt, for this blog and for the Christmas season. Please enjoy!
